MEET OUR DOCTORS
The Stixrud Group is a group of neuropsychologists and clinical psychologists who specialize in the evaluation of children, adolescents and adults with learning, attention, social or emotional difficulties. We are committed to the alleviation of suffering for our clients and their families by removing any blocks to their experiencing happiness and fulfillment in life. We believe this is accomplished by helping our clients understand themselves. Our goal is to use our professional knowledge and skills to help people achieve educational and professional success, emotional healing and interpersonal harmony in their relationships.

Dr. William R. Stixrud (he/his/him)Clinical Neuropsychologist
FounderWilliam R. Stixrud, Ph.D., is a clinical neuropsychologist who has been in private practice since 1985. He is also a member of the Adjunct Faculty of the Children’s National Medical Center, and he holds a faculty appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the George Washington School of Medicine.

Dr. Susan W. Hammond (she/her/hers)Clinical Psychologist
Co-DirectorDr. Susan W. Hammond is a co-owner of The Stixrud Group. She is a licensed psychologist who has been with the Stixrud Group since 1998. She is a native Washingtonian and an alumna of Wellesley College.

Dr. Salya Namazi (she/her/hers)Clinical Neuropsychologist
Co-DirectorDr. Salya Namazi is the co-owner of The Stixrud Group. She is a clinical neuropsychologist and licensed psychologist who specializes in the evaluation of children, adolescents, and adults with learning, attention, and autism spectrum disorders, as well as emotional vulnerabilities.

Dr. Ernest J. Aucone is a board certified clinical neuropsychologist who has extensive experience assessing adults with a variety of complex conditions, including psychiatric, developmental, neurological, and medical disorders.

Dr. Jesse G. Brand (he/his/him)Board-Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr. Jesse G. Brand is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist, evaluating adults with a range of psychiatric, neurological, and medical disorders. His primary areas include differential diagnosis of dementia, traumatic brain injury, forensic neuropsychology, and productivity coaching.

Dr. Doyle is a licensed psychologist who specializes in the assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults with learning, attention, behavioral, social-emotional, psychiatric, and cognitive challenges.

Dr. Katia Fredriksen (she/her/hers)Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Dr. Katia Fredriksen is a licensed pediatric neuropsychologist and developmental neuropsychologist who specializes in the evaluation of children, adolescents, and college students with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD/ADD, cognitive disabilities, and emotional and social challenges.

Dr. Susan S. Gerson is a licensed school psychologist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and other educational concerns.

Dr. Lauren Grossman is a pediatric neuropsychologist who specializes in the evaluation of children and adolescents with complex medical, attentional, learning, emotional/behavioral, and social issues.

Dr. Donna Henderson (she/her/hers)Clinical Neuropsychologist
A clinical neuropsychologist since 1992, Dr. Henderson works with students from age seven through young adults. She is experienced with attention and learning disorders as well as social and emotional challenges that can affect a student both at home and at school.

Dr. Susannah Hughes (she/her/hers)Board-Certified Neuropsychologist
Dr. Susannah Hughes is a board-certified neuropsychologist with subspecialty board certification in pediatric neuropsychology and extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults who present with a variety of neurocognitive issues.

Dr. Jenkins is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in practice in Maryland since 1987 with extensive experience in the evaluation of preschool-, elementary school-, and middle school-aged children, as well as adolescents, and young adults with learning disabilities, ADHD, cognitive disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and social/emotional challenges.

Dr. Wendy A. Law (she/her/hers)Clinical Neuropsychologist
A licensed, clinical neuropsychologist who specializes in the assessment of learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and neurological disorders in adults. She is particularly interested in evaluating how emotional and neurological disorders together affect cognitive functioning.

A licensed clinical neuropsychologist with extensive experience in pediatric neuropsychology. Her areas of special interest include children, adolescents and young adults with neurological problems, such as epilepsy and brain injuries, and children with special developmental needs.

Dr. Yael Rothman (née Granader) is a pediatric neuropsychologist and licensed psychologist in Maryland, Washington D.C., and New York. She specializes in comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental, medical, learning, or social-emotional issues.

Dr. Rudisill is a pediatric neuropsychologist and licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the evaluation of children, adolescents, and teenagers presenting with various neurological, neurocognitive, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Dr. Erika WassermanClinical Psychologist
A licensed psychologist who specializes in the assessment of attention, language, and learning challenges in students ranging in age from early elementary school through the end of high school. Dr. Wasserman has been with The Stixrud Group since 2001.
