Susan C. Jenkins, Ph.D. (she/her/hers)
Clinical Psychologist
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in practice in Maryland since 1987. I have extensive experience in the evaluation of preschool, elementary school, and middle school-aged children, as well as adolescents and young adults with learning disabilities, ADHD, cognitive disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and social/emotional challenges. I believe in the importance of gaining a comprehensive understanding of both the strengths and needs with which an individual presents for evaluation, and providing clear and relevant recommendations for securing appropriate treatment and support. To that end, in addition to completing psychological/ neuropsychological assessments, I provide classroom observations, school consultations, parent counseling, and follow-up meetings with clients in order to facilitate successful outcomes.
Dr. Susan Jenkins obtained an A.B. in Psychology from Brown University and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Boston City Hospital/Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She has worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and her training and professional background include psychological/neuropsychological assessment, psychotherapy, research, and program administration.
