Rachel Wax, M.P.S. (she/her/hers)
Psychology Associate and CLIENT Care Manager
With a talent for communication, breaking the ice and connecting with others has always come naturally for me. I strive to support the evaluation process and collaborate with psychologists, not only by administering and scoring assessment measures, but by providing extensive behavioral observations and comments on the testing process. As a graduate of The University of Maryland, my clinical research focused on severe mental health disorders. During that time, I also worked as a case manager, supporting families with varying mental health diagnoses.
Rachel was born and raised in South Jersey but has spent the last several years in Maryland, which she now calls home. During this time, she has expanded her knowledge of and passion for the field of psychology, working with individuals of all backgrounds. Rachel first attended Towson University, receiving her Bachelor’s in Family and Human Services in 2017. She then earned a Master’s in Clinical Psychological Science from The University of Maryland, College Park in 2022.
As a Psychology Associate, Rachel appreciates the importance of adhering to standardized test administration procedures, accurately scoring assessments with appropriate norms, and collaborating with psychologists to aid in test interpretation and providing accurate diagnoses.
As a Client Care Manager, Rachel recognizes that seeking testing may initially seem overwhelming and confusing. This is why she prides herself on the opportunity to be one of the first individuals to introduce and familiarize clients with The Stixrud Group’s assessment process, making clients feel at ease throughout the entirety of their experience.
