William R. Stixrud, Ph.D., is a clinical neuropsychologist and director of The Stixrud Group.  He is a member of the Adjunct Faculty of the Children’s National Medical Center, and he holds a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Behavioral Sciences, and Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.  Dr. Stixrud is also a frequent lecturer on topics related to neuropsychological assessment, learning and executive disorders, brain development, motivation, and the effects of stress, sleep deprivation, and technology overload on the brain.  He is a long-time practitioner of Transcendental Meditation and a rock and roll musician who plays in the bands Larry 2.0 and Close Enough.
