Dr. Susannah Hughes is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults who present with a variety of neurocognitive issues.
Dr. Hughes graduated with honors from Princeton University in 1991. In 1997, she received her doctoral degree from the Clinical & Health Psychology Program at the University of Florida at Shands Hospital, a Level I trauma center and leading organ-transplant center. Her doctoral program training included an area of concentration in Child Psychology and also involved extensive rotations and coursework in health psychology and neuropsychology. Dr. Hughes then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology with clinical experience at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. In addition to considerable experience working with medical cases, Dr. Hughes also is highly trained in the assessment of educational special needs with particular expertise in the assessment of learning disabilities and attentional disorders. She has worked in clinical neuropsychology in the Silver Spring area since 1999.
