Dr. Lisa A. Martin is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been with the practice since 1996. Dr. Martin specializes in the neuropsychological evaluation of children with learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and other developmental and emotional concerns. She has worked extensively with children of all ages in both evaluation and treatment capacities. Dr. Martin also has broad experience in the assessment of emotional functioning and personality, including projective testing. Dr. Martin received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College and her doctoral degree from Catholic University. She completed her internship at the Baltimore V.A. Hospital, where she gained substantial experience in psychological assessment. In addition to her neuropsychological evaluation work, Dr. Martin maintains a private practice focused on psychotherapy with children and adolescents. She is particularly interested in the identification and treatment of anxiety disorders.
Dr. Martin is also the Director of W.O.W! Memory Clinic (working on working memory) where we are very excited to be offering Cogmed Working Memory Training (CWMT). CWMT is a software-based program designed to improve attention and working memory skills. This is a program based on strong scientific research that is done in the convenience of your own home under the supervision of a Cogmed-qualified coach.
